Laguna Community Concert Band


The Laguna Community Concert Band is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization of over 60 members from Laguna Beach and surrounding communities under the direction of Dr. Bill Nicholls, Ed Peterson and Pete Fournier. The Concert Band plays a wide variety of music from marches and classics to holiday music, Swing, Jazz, Big Band and Dixieland. Subsets of the band have formed including: The Bolling League (small jazz ensemble), Brass Ensemble, “Third Street Strutters” (Dixieland band), Laguna Flutes and the popular Swing Set and Swing Set Lite.

The Band performs in and around Laguna Beach with regular summer dates at the Festival of the Arts, Sawdust Festival, Art-A-Fair and at celebrations, civic functions and parades in Laguna Beach and surrounding communities. The beautiful Artists’ Theater at Laguna Beach High School serves as the band’s home concert hall.

Bookings The concert band and smaller ensembles are available for private functions.

Join The band is always looking for new musicians. Rehearsals are scheduled every Tuesday night at Laguna Beach High School from 6pm – 8pm, with small ensemble rehearsals from 8pm – 9pm.

Donations As a non-profit organization, the Laguna Community Concert Band relies on grants and donations to continue operations. All donations are gratefully accepted.
